We should NOT be reading books in order to learn anything.

Ponder this for a second:Should we really be reading books in order to learn?

I can already hear it,”What the fuck has Kenny been smoking LOL“!!?I can explain.

We have hundreds of e-books and pdf’s in the Pick-Up/Seduction community.Just as every other genre of reading,majority of those books are over 200 pages.

How the fuck can one learn from reading 200-350 pages of information?That’s just too much info’ for any human brain to consume,process and use!

When I’m done reading a 350 page book(pdf e-book),I ask myself,”WTF did I learn that I can practically apply to real-life situations?Then I’d have to re read the damn thing just to mark the applicable sections relevant to what I’m looking for.

The average book of- let’s say 250 pages,only has about 10 pages worth of practical,applicable information that the reader can use realistically!

As every student of Pick-Up,I’d read “The Game” by the PUA guru Neil Strauss,I read “Magic Bullet” by Love Systems,”Double Your Dating” by the PUA guru David D,and the list goes on and on and on…

But I hardly learned anything applicable in any of those books.”The Game” only had like 3 pages worth of material applicable to seducing women(routines,etc.).By the time you reach the proceeding chapter,you would’ve already forgotten the key points in the previous one.

Information overload(too much unnecessary info’) is the cause of this.Our brains can only process so much info’ before it renders it(the book)as un-processable.So you’re essentially reading(300 pages) without the ability to retain shit(after a certain point).

Just as going to college in order to learn anything applicable to life is a big crock of bullshit we were sold.

No one learns anything in college that he-she could practically apply to their life.Having a degree in human psychology won’t do shit to improve your knowledge of human behavior,unless you apply that knowledge via interacting with massive amounts of people.

But I don’t see any human psychologist going to the club,or hanging out at functions interacting with anyone.The shit they learned in school is NOT applicable,or they’d missed the applicable information by being drowned out by too much irrelevant information.

Same theory applies with reading a 300 page book on “How to get Rich“,yet your ass still can’t even get close to being rich(although re reading the book 6 times)!!!

The Point:

Reading 300 pages does NOT help you attain your goals. Applying what you’ve read in field,is what separates you from chronic readers,who may read 3 books per week,but can’t memorize nor apply shit that they’d read(due to information overload).

Furthermore,one cannot successfully apply what he-she has read,if there’s too much irrelevant information in the texts he’s reading[essentially drowning himself in info'].

What we CAN learn from(to readily apply to our lives),are articles: blogs,how-to’s and short pdf’s/e-books(of no more than 30 pages).

Over the past 6 months,I’ve learned more from reading short-blog articles(straight to the point) than I learned in a lifetime of reading 100 three-hundred page books[SMFH].

*2 years ago,I learned everything about mixing cocktails by reading 4 short “how-to” articles.Straight to the point Info’ I was able to grasp and apply without confusion[that I was able to land a weekend gig at a lounge on island].

*I learned how to drive a Mack truck by reading a “how-to” blog article,then applying that knowledge in field at my job 6 years ago(at an industrial company).Surprised the shit out of my boss who had learned by taking extensive classes and studies decades prior!!!

*I learned a killer routine on how to get a girl’s phone #(the right way) by reading a short article many years ago on a pick-up website.

So there’s absolutely no reason nor benefit in reading a 300 page text book in order to learn a specific thing about a specific subject.

It’s obviously a marketing ploy to get you to buy a hefty book at a higher price,when you can learn the same thing(s) by reading an article or two withing 5 minutes.

Reading a traditional-250 page book on how manage your finances will NOT lead you to becoming more financially stable.However,reading a 2 page article laced with applicable how-to’s(how to budget,put money aside,keep track of your spening,etc.),WILL lead to financial stability(since the info is straight forward).
